Because it's absolutely pointless defending him. He might be at the wrong club, might be played out of position and he might be seriously low on confidence but he's just been a seriously poor signing.

At this point how would you even describe him as a player?

I've never had a sense of what we planned to do with him. Maybe he would be effective played with the right players or in a particular system etc. Or he could be not all that. But I'm not sure he's been helped to shine. Either way, another shining example of our muddled recruitment strategy.

He's not lazy. He does work hard off the ball. He's more, to use an English expression, dopey. Slightly behind the play so reacts slow.

Frustrating too as he'll do good work but then immediately follow it up with a "what the heck???? Why why why???" piece of play.
