Very strange player, in the past there were odd moments when he really looked like he could be a top player, it’s as if he over thinks things and it all goes wrong. It’s not lack of effort it just doesn’t happen for him.

Just watched the second half back.

Without exaggeration, I genuinely don't think he did one good thing with the ball, highlighted by missing that simple through ball to Doucoure that would have had him one-on-one with the keeper.

I've tried to defend him, but he is largely incompetent.

Massively. First touch is a tackle and he's not fast. Tom Davies can probably keep up with him.
