How do you know the club didn't offer them options but he declined themAgain if he had health problems then surely one of two things would have happened.
1 the club would have reduced his workload or
2 given him time off.

There's negativity and sadness because he had such a great impact, and it is incredibly unusual for someone who repeatedly said they were in their dream job to leave so abruptly, unexpectedly, after just 6 months, two-thirds of the way through the season too.
