He sent him texts which Bob read and replied to whilst scaling the Eiger for charidee...and the off chance of finding central European billionaires looking to invest in Everton.

I wonder if it was Terry Leahy speaking out last week, about how the club was 'making progress on a new stadium'? I wonder if Alan played any part in that little quote(s) being released to the local media. Perhaps it was too premature, or something.

I can,t see it, I mean Bob was working on plans with no money to fund it and Leahy was implying that as of yet the funding was not in place other than another comment about the investors worried about pumping moeny into the current stadia I saw no news in that story.

That was reported as a direct quote from him, so I doubt it.

Alan Myers thanked the Manager and the players. He didnt thank anyone 'upstairs'

Also, If I was to leave on my own terms for personal reasons, I would make it very clear that it had nothing to do with the club, it was 100% my own choice and there is no bad blood etc etc. You would know that the media and the fans would make stories up and conspiracy theories like we are doing now.

I have no idea but for me, there is a lot more to it. I would fume if Everton had ruined what the fans had with Alan Myers, it was different to what any other club had. A media officer who spoke regularly to the fans and not ignored like the other clubs. he arranged fan only things too, he was a breath of fresh air and will be missed.

Seemed a top bloke and I really enjoyed the Tea Party thing he sorted out, sounds like he was always all over Twitter answering questions as well. Whatever the reasons I wish him all the best.

I think we can safely come to that conclusion now. I was under the impression that he had left for personal reasons (health related), but clearly not.
