He is absolutely hated by City fans also. Whilst commentating on one of our games immeditely after the takeover in 2008
he sneered "Manchester City in the champions league? don't make me laugh."

Also when he was commentating on another City game City made a substitution of our number 17. When the board went up
showing the number 17 for Sun Jihai to come off he actually said live on air “Number 17 – that’ll be the Chicken Chow Mein, then”
and laughed at his own 'joke'.
Alan Green is truly a horrible human being.

Mark Lawrenson: "That's a very harsh penalty. Actually, it's the wrong decision. The ball clearly hits Heinze on the shoulder."

AG: "Who cares?!"

ML: "Well everyone should, it's a bad, bad decision and we don't want to see them. Especially in games like these."

AG: "Well, of course not, but from a Liverpool point of view it doesn't matter."

ML: "Not for me, it's a poor decision and it could easily go against you."

AG: "Still it's a great chance for Liverpool to put the tie to bed now."

Unfortunately, radio does not record whether Green then stood up, raised his scarf in the air and started mouthing the words to 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

Well you're half right it's he's not dead but Talksport is full of deadwood so he might well end up on there.
Green has been full of his own p*sspot importance for so many years, comeuppance time IMHO

That sounds like him. Except Alan Green was never on the telly. Radio 5 Live for years.

It used to make me laugh anytime the studio would cut to him mid-game or something, and he would get in an awful fuss about the quality of the particular game he was commentating on. As if the whole thing was staged solely for his own entertainment (and bias).

He is an irritant.

Hes got quite a typical Belfast accent

Loves the reds although dont think he ever admitted. I remember hearing him claim he was a linfield fan one time.
