AJ Reception...

I'd like to think he's the kind of pro that would respect our fans and vice versa.

Now I've said that, he'll probably do a Barton and bare his arse!!

By all accounts he seems a good egg. Kept his head down and got on with it even when he was having a tough time.

Those two goals in the derby gave me a superb afternoon a few years ago, clap the baldy tit.

Í'm not going to be at Goodison, but I don't see any reason to boo Andy Johnson. He should get a warm welcome from the fans. Didn't mind AJ moving on, as I believed he wasn't good enough for Everton anymore. One thing you can't deny though is his workrate and commitment. Ran himself into the groend while playing for Everton and I alway appreciate that in a player.

That, plus the fact AJ was the favourite player of my mate, who died earlier this year in a car crash (fanatical Crystal Palace supporter, don't ask me why:unsure:). Just hope he gets a warm reception from the Goodison crowd.

As long as he doesn't dive for a penalty, that is.:D

He will get a good reception, he did nothing wrong to Everton but try his best...although a few comments to the media (which i cant remember!) when he moved which wernt too good...

...So no, i hope he doesnt get booed at all, ive said it before though - im desperate to sing the "Andy johnson is a [Poor language removed]" tune - not because of the words...its just so catchy!!:lol:

Ill only boo if he celebrates if Fulham score against us. I remeber Kilbane did when he came back with Wigan..

No reason at all to boo him.

(I'd have rep'd your post Chico but something about "spreading rep" comes to mind.)

I've got to say the lad is a lying [Poor language removed] though:

'I'm an out-and-out striker,' explains Johnson. 'That's where I've scored the majority of my goals from. I don't mind dropping deep to help the team when we haven't got the ball but at Everton I was playing out on the right or in midfield. That wasn't really me and I felt like I was struggling a bit.

'That all made it really hard but it was like: do I stay and risk playing again on the right, or in the hole? Or maybe I won't play at all. Or do I move to a team where I've got a better chance of playing in my best position?'

When did he ever play in the hole? When Yak and AJ played together it was always Yakubu who dropped into deeper positions and linked play. He played on the right wing once against Chelsea when Osman, Pienaar and Arteta where all out.

Pathetic excuse, he's getting booed.:D
