meh, if he doesn't work out we make a profit.

if he does, we get a bargain. he'll only ever be backup i'd presume anyway. better than naismith, gueye or osman.

Yeah I thought he done ok today too. A few nice touches and passes but also a few slack ones. Was pretty much thrown in the deep end though.

Bit worrying how he's taking ages to get fit. His fitness was insane at Celtic, could run for days

Was he crap today or something? I thought he did ok.

Me too mate.

If the whole team is having a lull, it's gonna be really difficult for him to pull up trees immediately, while not match-sharp.

He looks like a Boyzone tribute act though.

He was a hell of a lot better than Deulofeu, who showed his inexperience, naivety and lack of physical strength by getting knocked off the ball several times. He tried, but ultimately didn't deliver much. Hell, even Barkley got knocked off the ball too easily and McGeady was definitely better than both today.

McGeady is a decent player and with a couple of starts I can see him becoming a valuable and integral part of the team. And anyone who says the Irish don't like him or rate him. He was playing under Trap for Ireland in a sh!t system, and while he may not have enjoyed too many MotM performances, he certainly didn't let himself down in the green jersey. I'm Irish, I like the lad and I do rate him. He's no Ronaldo, Messi or Bale, but he's got talent and will prove his worth to the club.

I always said he'll do well for us next year, and I think he will.

But he's not going to be able to do it as a starter this year as he's clearly not fit, that'll come though we just need to be patient.

Yeah, did well with what opportunities he got. Showed himself in different areas of the pitch, and I'm glad he has more in his locker than half-assed dribbling. That dribbling of his is actually rather good. Well done Aiden, show you're worth another start. Might not be fit enough to go again wednesday, but deserves an outing against Fulham.

What could be our season definer might just be the Arsenal game. And evidenced again today it is the pace players getting round them and cutting the ball back that bury the gunners. Without their greyhounds sprinting sides to death the Arsenal side is half as potent, and they can't handle a dose of their own game. McGeady continues to up his fitness then he, Mirallas and Barkley are the players to carry the fight to Arsene's excuses.

was really really good today, would have got MOM if barkley hadn't have made a telling contribution to the scoreline.

not really going to have a go about a lot of trouble coming down their right, which we don't get really with peinaar playing, because of exposure for baines, just don't think he had one of his better games. Sure i've read that our wingers have been given a free role with license to roam and not worry too much about defensive work and that's something i totally agree with. we have four defenders, a defensive mid, a keeper and a box-to-box centre mid to do the defensive duties, it's more than enough.
