Aiden McGeady

Am sure i could probably vault a few people, but i cant be arsed looking. A few years ago people where ripping Pienaar for being "the assister of the assister" and not grabbing as many assists as he should... yet now we are talking about "chances created" by someone who offers half of what Pienaar has done for us and the way we play.

Just get shut, thought he would be good and had a bit about him - the fact he hasn't had game time and others have got time in his position says it all.

Pienaar has always been a neat short range passer who is hard to shrug off the ball and keeps the play going but has little end product. He's not direct in the way Kev and Del are.

McGeady is similar only he's been generally less effective.

Honestly, in hindsight, it was a mistake to buy both of them. Pienaar, as good as he somtake any kind of impression.

But you know, at the time, I wanted both bought in and thought they were good deals, so whatever.

McGeady would be a more than decent Championship League player so I'm supposing getting 2-3 million pounds for him is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility

I read that as Champions League and nearly fell off my chair!

I'd say he's a good 3rd/4th choice wide player but if Lennon comes in, and I think he will, we'd have Mirallas, Deulofeu, Lennon and Pienaar plus McGeady, I'd definitely be looking to move 'Geads' on.

Mcgeadys not a bad player he's trickery and crossing would be good for the last ten mins of a game he's nt good enough to be first choice but not a bad option to bring of bench near the end of a game

Hope he stays and fights for his place. Good squad player to have. Rather him than Osman, Naismith or Barkley on the wing. Can do something in last 20 inutes of a game that not many of our current squad can do.

If hes sold I hope we get 4m for him as I think hed do a job for someone in the league if played every week.
Not a starter for us though.

Problem is there can only be so many subs available to be brought on, so would McGeady be an awkward choice for the bench?

Id be happy with any fee...however looking at the deals we did selling Jelavic and Anichebe is it wrong to be optimistic?!

It's all in his head, if you speak to any players, they will tell you he's one of the most skilful players at the club and the full backs hate playing against him in training.

But once on the pitch he just can't produce it. It's all about aplying himself on the field. He struggles to fit in, and I think he's doesn't believe he's good enough for this league.

He'll go to Scotland and probably be the best player in the league.
