Aiden McGeady: The Answer to all of our problems

The reason he is frustrating is because he does the hard parts and then messes up the easy parts. Also some people say his defensive play is good, most of the time it's him defending agaisnt mistakes he's made.

And also, we are scoring more goals with him in the team as it stands. He might not be directly involved with enough for our liking, but I think the fact that we play a winger out there instead of shoehorning Barkley/Naismith is contributing to our general shape.

Gets undeserved stick imo.

He can be frustrating at times, but he's also got genuine talent. He can put a quality ball and isn't afraid to try his hand when in a shooting position.

He's been drawn too far inside for me, his strength is his delivery and he's cutting inside far too often, rather than looking to get in behind the fullback, either with a give and go or be simply beating him.
Until you mentioned 'fullback' I thought you were referring to Prevenger.

I think he is quite underated on here. It's strange because even though he gives the ball away too often he has a consistency about him. He provides us natural width and is the best supply line we have for Lukaku and Naismith. He also provides good cover defensively. I quite like him.

some cracking math skills youve got buddy

I think I understand what you're trying to say, despite the lack of pie charts. But if he's only started 9 of our 23 league games, what do you expect? He's been off the pitch more than he's been on it, unless you factor in our Europa League campaign, which is by far our most successful attempt at being decent this year. I refer you to my original post:

We've started Geads in 16 matches this season in which we've scored 29 goals and conceded 22. In the 15 games that he hasn't started or played, we have scored 16 goals and conceded 20.

Mins per goal with Mcgeady on the pitch 72

Mins per goal without mcgeady on the pitch 63

anything else you want me to prove you wrong on?
