Just to give these numbers some context we won Every single game Mcgeady wasn't involved in last season after he signed.

14/15 Points total over 38 games with Mcgeady 43

14/15 Points total over 38 games without Mcgeady 42

Not quite sure what you're saying here. This pie chart represents the games last season that McGeady either wasn't involved in or didn't start. Hope this clears everything up.

That's some mighty fine pie chartin' there, feller.

He's defo our Marmite player. You either get this type of player or you dont (although your stats there suggests there's no room to doubt his input...if not from an attacking perspective).

I have the negativity he receives pegged to two factors:

1 He's getting on the ball nearly enough. His workrate closing down space in front of Coleman is all well and good, but he's here to add options to our attack, primarily. So that's a relevant criticism.

2 He's a flair player, and there's a generation of supporters who've grown up under Sgt Major Moyes who distrust any display of it. In reality, he's in Everton's finest traditions, but to many he's seen as a betrayal of the previous manager's advocacy of perspiration over inspiration.

Your point about AMc being Irish and that having something to do with it isn't worth considering though. It doesn't hold water at this club where we've had countless players from Ireland (and plazzy Irishmen) absolutely worshipped. Sure, there's a few bang the drum types on all Everton forums, but they'r really an inconsequential lot.

He's not great but we're a better team with him in rather than playing Barkley on the wing. Hopefully Lennon signing means that is between him and AIDS now.
