Conflicted really, from a research perspective it could be an immense help in the future.

From a content perspective, some of the music, television and films from the studios are absolutely awful in my opinion, there has always been trash in those categories but for me it’s worse than ever in its consistency especially music .i see a lot of “AI slop” comments and I don’t disagree as such but some of the stuff you see made from people is trash as well and not to forget things like TikTok, video game streamers, footy watch alongs.

The rate in which AI is progressing you will probably be able to make a full length film using your phone in the next couple of years and with improvements in lip synch, fluidity etc.

Personally I would be tempted to use it to remaster old stuff like television series and films without the over saturated image quality we are currently seeing or take a bad film or tv series and see how to improve it ,such as pacing, dialog etc.

The biggest problem for me is how it blurs reality. We already had a problem with people believing nonsense conspiracy theories and denying climate change and the like. Now we can't even take video footage at face value. Especially how it's been used in America recently (Ice), and just yesterday I've seen all sorts about Netanyahu. People seem to think he's dead and they're using AI footage of him. I don't think he is dead btw but the fact that it's being questioned just complicates everything now.

Maybe not AI? It wouldn't be the first time someone from that neck of the woods rose from the dead...
