Just this morning I got fooled by a cmpilation of amazing AI sheds! I send it to my son and he had to break it to me - I felt so old.

It seems it is easier to tell when it is people being generated. Images like these sheds are too good!

Simple thumb of rule, mate: If it looks to good to be real, then it’s probably AI.

You really thought that someone, in their backyard, poured reinforced concrete in brutalist or avantgarde-style architecture? Mate?

A few snaps from an ongoing project of mine documenting the often forgotten and overlooked Brutalist style sheds , garden buildings and kitchen extensions that were so popular in the 60s and 70s ( particularly in the West London suburbs ) but then fell out of favour for some reason . Perhaps a new generation will look on them more favourably and rescue them from decay .

Yes and no.

It's a bit like how I feel about the internet in general. The internet, for me, was much, much better when people had to sit down at a computer to use it. Smart phones basically ruined it.

AI, like the the internet,

is a wonderful tool, it's just the people who use it are often bellends.

Not unlike beer, wines and spirits

I see where you're coming from, but sometimes it's too good to be true because it's not true

But on occasion, if you’re lucky you’ll get decent folk on social media who’ll stipulate whether or not their content is AI generated.
Unfortunately though, the majority of the time, they don’t, because for some reason, they want you to believe the crap that they’re uploading is real…

Why not though, I like my own style on things, not a version of someone elses.
So to me I look at those pics and see someone that wants there own stamp.

It's only because of this thread that makes me look deeper into the shade of the concrete against the surrounding colour.
which might not even be how you're supposed to tell.

I could see something like that again next week and not for a minute think that I should be looking for AI.
Once that becomes my first thought, I give up..
