Laughing here. To those that have added nothing to the thread, 'stay on topic Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaa's'.
People who have seen the sense of the thread, nice one.

Cattermole is a decent little player. Diarra is a decent DM as well. Makalele is retired now but that type of super DM would be great. They are out there, and provide a lot of security and faith in their fellow pro's. It is easier to try something a bit difficult if you are confident you will get the ball back if you lose it.
And as for Mr.Ignore - why tell me? because you wanted me to know. And why is that, because you are obsessed. Laughable.

I highly doubt that, KGB.

We're sorted for midfield enforcers. Heitinga and Fellaini FTW. I think Cattermole's boss but the DM's we already have are a cut above him.

KGB....I disagree with your fundamental concept of a us requiring a midfield enforcer, who will do the dirty work and allow Arteta and Pienaar to play more creatively.

AS TB mentioned earlier....the game today has changed in so much that it is more biased to possession rather than kick, clatter and harry....I accept that certain teams like Stoke will adopt this primitive approach, as they cannot attract the more skilfull creative players, so they play to their strengths...

We should have a midfield, that can cope with all opposition styles, and adapt/improvise our game accordingly without losing sight of our overall footballing philosophy. We have got players like Heitinga/Neville/Fellaini ...who will never shy away from a physical challenge and are more than a match for anyone in that department.

I backed your original point but now you've mentioned Cattermole :toilet:
