So far weve drawn to a leicester side that held arsenal and smashed united. Drawn to an arsenal side due to lack of fitness/concentration. Lost to a rampant chelsea side. Beaten west brom away when we werent that great and lost to palace when we had 'one of those days' when nothing seemed to go for us chances wise and still scored 2 goals. The 3 we conceded all came from individual errors. Not going to deny last night was a woeful display and a pain to watch as the silverware most achievable is the league cup but obviously martinez has his priorities elsewhere. Unflrtunately for us swansea took it seriously. Wolfsburg last week showed us how good we can be, when no other english team beat their german counterparts in europe.

At the back we arent terrible, were just catastrophizing what have been indivdual errors and now attributing this as a holisitic problem when it isnt. People are over analyzing indivduals performances distim hasnt been at the races in a few games nor has jags, the partnership and ability doesnt die overnight and these lads do train every day, if roberto thought they were looking a wee bit past it he wouldnt be playing them. People also saying oh my god our defence is woeful, look what martinez did at wigan were doomed, doesnt help. Chelsea slotting 6 past us has made things seem worse than they really are, effectively half the goals weve conceded in the league came in that match... were 5 games into the season of course with that result well be top of the goals conceded pile.

After united away we will have played 7 games, and only city yet to play as teams that finished above us last year. So we have a run of 12 win-able games form dependent and fitness dependent with the europa as well. The next week is going to be a real tough one, fingers crossed we can keep up these performances minus the individual errors. If we do so we set ourselves up really nicely for a big run to christmas.

I'm delighted.
I think the big picture on the side of the stadium looks spiffing. I miss the Yellow and Blue kit. Oviedo is back, Gibson too. Kone not far off it. Pienaar and Barkely to come back into the squad.
Red cult followers are so quiet at the moment as they've all suddenly realised that last year was all but a dream, they won't get out of the group in the CL and they needed 14 goals to edge past a Championship side.
Hopefully we'll do them one on Saturday.

Positivity? ok looking forward to life in the championship next season.
It will be nice to reminisce about the class international footballers that once wore Royal Blue and are now winning trophys at other clubs.
How i will laugh when thinking about the 14/15 season when we shipped a record amount of goals.
At the moment, it is pleasant to see Goodison looking beautiful and green in the wide open spaces behind our full backs and i always chuckle
at our Jurrasic central defence as they stumble from one disaster to another.
Ahh yes, good times these.
