Welcome back Wayne
You're still failing to separate the equipment the US military left behind during the withdrawal and the equipment the Afghan army surrendered to the Taliban.
The smaller arms and munitions surrendered by the Afghan army will be of use to the Taliban. This is the unfortunate outcome of war. I'm not sure what you expect Biden to do (or what you think Trump would have done differently).
The larger hardware abandoned by the US military will be, for the most part, pretty useless to the taliban. Yea, they have a load of old humvees now but I'll bet any money they'll still use toyota pickups which are a fraction of the cost to maintain and operate.
Also, have you anything to back up your claim that China, Russia and Iran will be buying second hand blackhawks off the Taliban. Seems a bit far fetched.
I’m pretty certain that being shot by an American assault rifle is exactly the same as being shot by an American assault rifle surrendered by the Afghan Army. We all get that most of the kit was in the hands of the Afghan Army, as provided by America. The issue is that the strategy for withdrawal precipitated the collapse of the Afghan Army and its surrendering of weapons to the Taliban. At some point, Biden knew or was made aware of the fleeing Afghan Army, yet we now have Taliban flying around in attack helicopters.
I just cannot fathom why you cannot accept that the Taliban, numbering about 80,000, have just been fully armed with weapons supplied for 300,000 Afghan Army and Police.
I have nothing to back up my claim that the Taliban will be selling weapons as it’s a bit early yet. But please bookmark my post and look back on it in the coming months……
