Great result and in the circumstances performance.
Pienaar absolute class again, fellaini and cahill superb and what a player coleman could turn out to be.
On another note how fat and uninterested does yakubu look?

Missed most of the game cos of work :( Sounds like a good performance by the team tho :)

Anyone got links to highlights/the goal?

Great spirited preformance in difficult conditions , especially by the nippers.Coleman,Baxter and Duffy.Well in the lads onward and upward.Thought Baxters goal was never offside the ref was a dolt ,looked like Herman monster, through with a game to spare good news at last.More fkn injurys though!

Unfortunately I was unable to see the game. I know it was forced but glad to see young guns given a chance. Moyes should be doing this more often instead of continually picking out of form favourites.

As for Yak, I do recall the Boro fans warning us about his attitude and laziness when we first signed him which was for a heck of a lot of loot. I suppose he may not be fully fit but how long has he had. I fear we may well be stuck with him for ever more and I do wish he would get his finger out and showwhy Moyes had faith in him.

Surely this is a good thing?

No, because according to Robert Jarvis, we don't have ANY good strikers the majority of our players, including our manager, are not good enough.

And that's the bottom line really, Yakubu is a fat, chubby, disinterested waste of space who has started fifty games in a row (after a small injury) and is showing no signs of improvement in terms of performance and fitness levels.

As for TB's comment he is quite out in his comment. I think Saha is good, better than the Yak imo. As for Jo he has a goal scoring record but that was in Russia, really that has yet to be replicated here. Moyes uses him a lot as a lone striker but his goal scoring rate this year is practically non existent. A striker scores goals so how can Jo be described as such. Anichebe and Vaughan have both had career threatening injuries which has not helped them but before that the feeling on here was that they were not upto it and we should let them go.

I have never said Moyes is not good enough. I have at times queried his tactics, subbing and transfers.

Just to put TB right.
