Whenever it was on the telly I always used to say to whoever I was watching with, "I'd NEVER buy anything from that company". Give them their dues though, all these years later and I can still remember the tag line off by heart so at least it sort of worked lol

The one flogging a front door camera that will convince any doorbell ringing smackhead burglar that you’re actually in the house but too lazy to open the door.

Or any of the other “I invented this” ads

The influx of companies using a name which is a slight variant of a word related to what they're selling and using really basic logos in an attempt to get you to remember them more easily. I've had to use the tube for work this week and I've seen a lot of adverts.

For example, 'Qured' is a service for rich people that ships doctors to your door. 'Kukd' is a takeaway delivery service like Just Eat. 'Hiya' is a company that lets you hire other people's cars (no idea why you'd ever let a total stranger drive your car, mind).
