This is the one instance where two holding mids makes since. Bring in a class DM-BoxtoBox to sit alongside Gana

Exactly, we have the players for this setup. Gana, Davies, besic and to some extent siggy(due to his tireless work rate) behind the front four will bring balance with ball winning capabilities to launch pacy and lethal counter attack.

Any other setup that involves Rooney and Schneiderlin will completely break this approach, and of cos sam must be the first to get rid.

This is literally how Liverpool roll. Pace merchant attack gets you to a champions league finals these days

That’s how football should be played in the current era. Unless we can pass like Barcelona, the simple fast break pacy winger approach is the only way to be successful. Loads of manager deploy such tactics to perfection. Conte, Klopp, Mourinho to some extent and the great sir Alex using this as a blueprint during his entire managerial career. It’s not something new but some dinasour manager will simply ignore these approach.

All depends on the opposition really. Sigurdsson will be a very useful weapon for the teams that park the bus and such

I look at that game against Sevilla in preseason where he had the opposition crapping their pants. That pace and elusiveness is dangerous in the middle
I agree, I think that while pace itself doesnt necessarily translate in the middle, quickness does, which he has, and he is a fantastic striker of the ball which also translates really well to that space.

The only thing in his game he needs to improve a lot on to truly fit that space is passing and vision.

Exactly. United is only where it is in the table now due to the individual ability of the players. They are a meh team with the ball, but with players like Martial, Lukaku, Rashford and Sanchez they are dangerous.

Dowell is a league one player in waiting, vlasic will play slightly off from centre of say

I presume you mean Ligue 1, as he's already shown he can be one of the better players at championship level...

Two tap ins for him effectively today, but he earned them through his running off the ball and positioning. Knowing how to be in the right place right time is a key attribute for a goal scorer.

Notice how he senses blood around the halfway line and anticipate the danger he could provide just simply running 40 yards towards a right position to receive pass.

We had similar situation at Everton, Walcott running with the ball towards goal but our entire team just stays static expecting to receive the ball at feet.

See the difference?
