You see, here's the thing Nobby.
This Everton stuff, this unrequited love I have had since I was a boy and which has left me broken hearted umpteen times more than any woman I have ever been involved with, it never gets old for me.
Much as I cherish our past and the great players we have had, I don't dwell there.
I tend to live in the moment....I am always in the market for new Everton heroes.
I will mourn the sale of Del in pretty much the same way I mourned the sale of Wayne Rooney.
With a sense of what might have been.......rather than the sense of what was with Bally and Dixie.
That might not suit you but there you go......we all look at things from a different point of view.
But that's okay, that's football.
