...I think so. I can see Lookman being a bit part player at first, getting game time but not a regular starter. From what was reported, Charlton wanted him back on loan but we wouldn't have that which suggests he will be in and around the first team.

Anyone seen him, he any good? All for buying young homegrown talent as well as big signings, hopefully that's Walsh's remit.

Because of our poor performance, we won't be attracting big names, so we better get used to United cast-offs or young up-and-coming gambles.

This is one of the latter. Never heard of him, won't make a judgement, but you have to trust Walsh. From YouTube vids (I know...) he looks Martial-ish, which isn't a bad thing.

£10m is the new £2m it seems - if he flops, we'll sell him at a minor loss, or even if he's just average we'll be able to sell on for around the same fee to a bottom half Prem club or a parachute payment funded relegated side. The risk is minimal.

I only get annoyed by price tags when it's clear we've ridiculously overpaid and won't see any return on the pitch or in a future transfer. For example, Bolasie.

I have no issues whatsoever with £10m for this kid.

Bolasie will sadly always be a strange 1, he will never be given a proper chance due to his fee and now his injury, I was very vocal prior his signing, ive never rated him, but ok, this is football.
