I see he is back at USM FF today with the rest, I thought he may have been given an extra week or two off given his extended season with the England U20s. He has always looked a very talented , exciting and raw individual and he was my man of the tournament at the U20 World Cup . Every time he picked up the ball you thought he was likely to do something exciting , running at defenders , scoring , hitting the woodwork and the S Korean crowd loved him. You can see that he is still very much a work in progress but he seemed to step up a level at the tournament, working hard in the way Koeman likes , laying off the ball when necessary yet still likely to do the unexpected. The new signings will take some of the pressure and limelight away from him but of all our players he's the one who excites me the most and for me has the most potential to make a huge leap forward this season .

Think the U20's got 2 weeks holiday after the final and it's been 3 weeks so makes sense.

The Echo reported yesterday all of the youngsters who played in the U/20 World Cup "will be among the later arrivals". I believe Lookman is the only one of those who returned today so I'm going to presumed he's returned earlier than required which is bloody awesome.
Doubt they will make him work that hard, maybe he is back as he is the only one of the 5 who is a first team member and he wants to be ready for europe.

Great attitude to have, hopefully we get to see this talent even more this season.

You can tel he's got it.

What I loved about his performances was his first touch. I lost count of the number of times this beat a player or made space for a shot. His close ball control was also dazzling at times and he has great balance with a low centre if gravity. Loved watching him and had to pinch myself a few times as a reminder he actually plays for us. So often in the past you watch these kids at tournaments with more than a hint of envy.

Looking forward to getting both him and Henry on the pitch at the same time. ;)

This is what it takes when you have to compete for a starting position. With all the new faces and talk of more, he is taken training seriously to compete. ;) This is going to be a good year I can feel it.

Top lad coming back in for training early. That's what makes a champion. Apparently the United lot used to laugh at Ronaldo for staying behind late after training everyday...

Roy Keane said in his book this guy deserves all the success he gets, works harder than anyone...had nothing but praise for him...A number of other Utd players said similar, that he was the hardest working player they'd played with..Ferdinand...they respected it more than laughed even if they slagged him a bit, that much is for sure

Looks a top talent does Lookman. But with all the additions we're making, potentially Sigurdsson/Sandro playing off the left or right and then Mirallas/Bolasie, I struggle to see him getting a lot of game time next season, which he needs. Should he go out on loan?

Think in this case he will benefit a lot more from being here.

We have a lot of games to play next season if things go to plan, and currently only
Mirallas, Lennon, DCL, Lookman and Sandro to play the wings.

Bolasie is a long way off yet, I imagine he will need a number of games to get back to feeling himself, too.
