Ademola Lookman

Anteenager from Charlton can’t just demand first team football based on a few games as a sub for Leipzig. Currently he’s first sub for any of the wide positions behind Walcott and Richarlison. Over a season with cup games and injuries he’s going to be playing an awful lot. I think if we can just calm him down this window and keep hold of him he’ll be a big player for us next season. In a few seasons when Tosun and Walcott might be past it we’ll have 2/3 of a good front line in Lookman and Richarlison.

He has to stay, I actually think he is in exactly the place he needs to be for his development. Sigurdsson, lookman, richarlison, Walcott, vlasic, and dowell is a pretty solid selection. With a good mix of experience and youth.

He will get game time.

I think its a trust thing with lookman , hes been treated bad by the last 3 managers so can understand why he would look elsewhere, shipped off to leipzig and proved he was a good player
Hopefully silva can persuade him he's part of his plans.... in my opinion he will play more this season for everton since he's been here!!

The way I see it, think Silva is looking for Rich/Mola/Theo to compete for the two wide spots in the front three, possibly at times even having all three line up at the same time. Walcott has stated he'd like a go upfront and he certainly has experience in finding the net.. maybe worth a look?

Exactly, plus Tosun Niasse and Calvert Lewis as the options for the striker role (Tosun first choice). Assuming Mirallas and Bolasie leaves that means there’s peobably only one back up wide spot available which may then be taken by Sandro if Silva has been convinced by him. There would be a lot of depth across the front positions then which should see us avoid the situation we had last season which saw Siggurdson on the left, DCL playing out wide at times and leading the line for half a season, and Rooney playing there too. We’re now far far stronger upfront thanks to the signings of Tosun Walcott Richarlison and hopefully the rehabilitation of Lookman and Sandro.

I'm wildly speculating but I would say this is more the issue with him rather than him demanding more minutes. Quite simply not feeling valued here compared to in Leipzig.

Lookman can also play on the right or off the front man. Same as Richarlison, I think we should keep both but the signs seem to point to him leaving when RB match our price, which would be a shame, this kid can finish.

We do and it would be brilliant if we could keep a player like Lookman for that purpose but some people want and need to play all the time. Can't blame him if he wants to go as we keep on buying players that are in front of him when it comes to starting (or coming on off the bench for that matter!), Walcott/Tosun/Richarlison plus hopefuls like Vlasic and when Henry finally gets his work permit have all been signed since Lookman joined.

Reminds me of Barkley when we went no.10 shopping crazy, although he should have been up for the fight some people naturally think that they should be shown the love and be untouchable on the team sheet. Obviously Barkley had more of a reason to feel like that seeing he was a starter in previous seasons anyhow but we don't know what Lookman was told when he signed on the dotted line...we will build a team around you yadda yadda I bet.
Do you honestly believe he will play all the time at Leipzig mate? I'll guarantee you he will not. They have a much better selection of attacking players than we have and he'll struggle more to be a regular starter there than he will here. I'm sure he won't be given any starting guarantees so it would be wrong to demand them from us.

Personally I think he basically really enjoyed his short spell at RBL and wants some more. Thing is, he'll most likely get that under the new regime here so I think he's being bit short sighted in pushing for a move without giving it a chance with us.

If Lookman stays he will, in my opinion, get plenty of game time. The front 4 of Tosun, Richarlison, Lookman and Walcott is very interchangeable and rotating 4 into 3 places will give them all plenty of game time. Plus Lookman could also play as a 10.However I still think we'll be going after Lozano, in which case we'll be offloading Lookman to help cover the cost. If we do sell Lookman without bringing in somebody else we'll be stupid.

We've stated Lookman isnt for sale, have we done that with bolasie?

We stated Lukaku wasn't for sale.
We stated Stones wasn't for sale.
We stated Barkley wasn't for sale.
We stated Rooney wasn't for sale.

Most recently, we stated we wouldn't let Lookman go out on loan, and then on deadline day he went to Germany.

Stop being so naive.
