We are in a situation with Lookman where it's who blinks first out of him, Everton (mainly Silva) or Leipzig. Currently it's in limbo and a resolution of some sort will be found. Either Lookman will accept he won't get his move currently or knuckle down seeing the opportunity. Leipzig will pay a figure we want (which would be high from them) or walk away, or Silva will state he's a problem for him and we need to compromise on the fee.
I think if he stays past August he will end up doing quite well for us. He is young, ambitious, intelligent but a little immature. He has obviously made his mind up, and Leipzig is a great place to go. However Everton could be very good for him too under Silva. I think he would work at his defensive discipline. He's a good coach and would help him. I hope he stays.
At the same time,I think he's a little overrated by fans. He's had good cameo's but not put a lot of consistency together.
The Club hold a lot of cards though, 3 year deal and a young lad who's unlikely to kick up a major fuss to get out. I think we will get a fee we want if we hold.
I think it may be done after the season is done though. As Leipzig get closer to the window.
