That lot across the park reaped the rewards of slowly introducing Robertson, Fabinho and AOC. Hopefully this is our equivalent. Really hope he gets a run in the team and involves himself in more goals.

Surely, when strikers see he is getting to the byline and pulling it back across the 6-yard box, they’ll start making the runs accordingly.

Always felt he showed flashes of quality, but never enough to justify a starting place (or his sulking).

He put in a solid 90 minutes today & surely earned his place for the next game. Hope he’s grown up enough to realise he has to produce that every week if he wants a guaranteed slot.

Silva clearly holds Lookman in high regard and found it hard to change his mentality from the last shower that were in charge. They have both complimented each other in the last few weeks which says they have a good relationship. Something I would say he has probably needed a manager to put his arm around him which seems to bring out the best of him. He definitely starts in front of walcott with performances like today without doubt. Wouldn’t surprise me if walcott ended up back at Southampton in the summer

Seemed to be more effective on the left. He went there towards the end of the first half and the whole team seemed to play better. Then he went to the right for the second half again. Only when Wallcott came on I think he went left side again.
