Well it was hardly Lookman in the five minutes he was on that ransacked City, but the article is a pretty fair reflection on how he played for England u21. I don’t think he was purposely disinterested, just never sparked at all, failed to beat his man , failed to deliver crosses, didn’t cut in and shoot like we know he can. It’s a worry that he played so poorly. A large part, maybe the largest, is down to him but the club need to also figure out how best to handle him, some need a boot up the jacksy , some an arm around the shoulder. And I know he’s a professional footballer paid a fortune, but as a club it’s in our own interest to get him back on track to either be part of our squad or sold on later.

The German Quarter is a culturally vibrant, cosmopolitan section of Wandsworth. I imagine the great times Sulky has enjoyed there has only exacerbated his homesickness. I like your idea about buying him some lederhosen. Perhaps all the team should wear similar... and feign German accents at training.
Yes, it might sound a little contrived but if the whole playing and management team give buy-in to the concept, it might just put a smile on his dial. I know it would mine...
