2025/26 Adam Aznou

I mean, if he was to go out on loan that would mean we would be bringing in a new left back surely? Wouldn't mind that at all tbh if he doesn't have a shot at getting any minutes here this season.

Our transfer business in the Summer is unacceptable. The owners needs to be asking serious questions.
Whether you think this or not it shouldn't be based on whether an £8m 19 year old defender has made an impact already or not.

We should be getting probably one player like that per year in the hopes that something like a third of them eventually turn into prem starters after a couple of years.

It's not just about this lad, is it. Collectively a lot of money has been wasted and we didn't even address some serious problem positions.

In another window I think people wouldn't have an issue with signing a high potential player for 8m and maybe having to wait a year or 2 to see them be ready.

People getting antsy with this because Myko is holding us back every week, which i do understand.

Realistically though this is the kind of signing we've all been asking the club to make for years. Low fee, high upside - just patience required.

Patience is a big ask in a division so close in the middle to the top or heading to the drop zone I the Prem this season only Wolves are doomed so far ....

Totally. Obviously you'd love to have the first team 'sorted' as well, but there's no reason to wait to throw 8m at a development signing if the opportunity presents itself. It didn't stop us from doing anything else.

This is what happens when all of your transfer committee come in as newbies in one window. To be fair you can’t fix Everton in one window we need at least a few after the years of mismanagement
