2025/26 Adam Aznou

Watched him play for the U21s the other week - they played him left wing and he's got quality, but physically he looks miles away

I'm not at all surprised we haven't seen him yet

Yep I agree. He got a proper mens game tackle on him about 10 minutes before half time and pretty much said "that's it for me" and didn't want to know.

Of course that was his first game back, but he didn't look like a 1st team player there for minutes, he looked like an u21 player struggling to stand out.

If he's that far away he was a really really poor signing. We arguably needed an upgrade at left back, to not even have found decent cover is criminal. As I said, I wouldn't even be confident that it would be a good long term signing if that's the case, he's a full international who's played for Bayern and in La Liga, I very much doubt he's going to stay here if he gets no game time at all.

He's miles away from being ready for the first team, they're obviously having him train with them and be around the matchday squad to try to speed up his development. Throwing a player in before they're ready can be detrimental in the long term so I'm glad he's being properly managed.

Moyes doesn’t want him. Sell him in Jan. No point having him if we won’t play him, it only serves to make my blood boil having a left back on the bench when we play Coleman there…

After 5 matches to start season, the definition of knee jerk reaction - especially when Moyes himself said he was not ready yet & that he wouldn’t be rushed

Also the claims he must bulk up is unusual considering his frame/size was not an unknown before being signed

But I weighed in on player assessment when he was linked - patience, resist the ManYoo approach to try new toys
