He came on because it is a typical and easy substitution for him, meaning certain players either have to come on while others somehow are not brought off.

It was a needless substitution when other players and areas on the pitch required support. Some of the lads didn't even get to warm up properly!

Yup. Lampard got a lot wrong, but he had Doucoure sussed. Dyche loves him because he bosses his gaffer days. Training doesn’t involve using a football so the coaching staff are surprised on a game day to find that he doesn’t actually possess the ability to control or pass the ball. Lots of premier league experience though.
