The wheels fell off the Ancelotti season when Doucoure got injured, hasn't been the same player since, didn't suit Lampards system and clearly there were some personal differences there, if Dyche can get him playing he's a great asset to the team. Few more games before I jump on the contract extension bus yet

As long as his nuisance factor stays down the right end of the pitch, I'm all for this. We don't need more penalties given away e.g. Chelsea.

Lampard is an absolute maniac for dropping this guy. Just shows he doesn’t have a clue and he wanted to sell him. He made all the difference in the midfield and allowed onana and gana to roam

Doesn't get a pass from me for downing tools over the last few weeks. That incident the other week where he refused to warm up at half time was shameful.

Having said that, we aren't in a position where we can overlook players who can do a job for us, so if Dyche can rehabilitate him and get a tune out of him, great.

Much too early to be looking at extending his contract by a year though

The three midfielders were very good on Saturday, their energy and physicality was too much for Arsenal, I think after then first 20 minutes, the Arsenal midfield thought, there is nothing here for us today, I just don't think they relished the battle with our three.

havent seen the game really but seen clips, looks like it meant a hell of alot to him that came. Months of frustration perhaps under Lampard. Point to prove etc.

I agree, mate. Although his performance on Saturday warrants him keeping his place in the starting XI for now.

He’s hardly played at all the last 2 seasons, so he might get sharper and a bit more effective. If he does then he’ll prove to be an asset to Dyche.
