I wouldn’t be so sure. Not that they’d take off 5 mil for them in the literal sense, but more that they will be willing to be reasonable in negotiations if we give them some aid in trying to get promoted again.

35 mil for Doucore when they have no leverage after being relegated is silly money.

Wouldn’t give them Gordon to be honest, he was far more impressive than everybody else in that shambles of a midfield after the lockdown.

As much as I like Gordon, you have to think that if Doucoure, Allan and Rodriguez come in then he may struggle to get game time. Especially as we arnt in Europe.

Playing regular football for a promotion chasing team would benefit him more than 15 mins every fortnight.

Why have them then? If they want players to be in their squad, to get them back in the prem as quick as possible, those players are worth that to them. Getting back in the premier league is worth £170m, because Watford are newly relegated they would for go the £60m in parachute payments do its worth £110m for them to get back in 1 season.

What I'm saying is that they want £30m, we would probably pay £25m, but we throw in the 2 players on loan and get it down to £20m. They will be happy with that, if they make it straight back in the premier league. Plus they will have £20m to spend on a younger player, like Sangare

I agree that post lockdown, he was good, but we are bringing in players, who may limit his game time, if he could go out in loan to a championship side and get over 20 starts, that may be better than him staying here and only really getting cup games and cameos off the bench

think it would be a good move for Gordon and Watford , but he will get games here though so can't see that happening.
Braithwaite would be daft to go, if he goes and Gibson comes in and takes he position in the squad it might not end up being a good move for him.
if I were Watford i would ask for Simms and Gibson , thier defence and Goalscoring isn't that good , although both players are a bit rough around the edges due to there ages ect , with game time I could see both doing well in that division.

Don’t see the benefit myself. I wouldn’t play him centrally anyway and we only have Bernard, Walcott and Iwobi in them wide positions. I think he’ll get plenty of game time here, especially as carlo doesn’t seem to like Bernard.

I think the fans do, I found that whole thing with the snakes hilarious. You can't begrudge anyone driving a hard bargain when selling players, I wish we did it more. We probably haven't got a great price for a player since we sold Stones for £50m, I still think we should have got a bit more for Lukaku
