£22mil rising to £25mil is quite frankly hilarious when they wanted a lot more than our reported £36mil offer only a year ago.

Likewise Allan touted at £60-80mil last year and James at €40-50mil.

Quite incredible business.

£8mil down is quite incredible really when you imagine them seeing Richarlison become a star and Silva jumping ship.

Their fans must be seething ;)

Gbamin (if he comes back well)
Allan
Doucoure

Those 3 have the energy and we would need one more there so we have 4 centre mids in a flat midfield 442 side.

Sigurdsson, Gomes, Delph are on big wages and should be sold.

Davies has the home grown factor so a sale helps our FFP as well

Besic gets his wages off the books.

Id be happy to sell anyone of them.
I don’t think the home grown factor would be an issue. I think you can have a max of 17 foreign players on your 25 mad squad, we are nowhere near that

Davies should be sold if we get a decent offer

Really? I'm not against the Doucoure signing at all but more exciting than James?
We need athleticism and aggression in midfield and Doucoure brings those, he also brings experience in the Premiership and has proven that he can perform well there.

JR is an exciting risk. If he succeeds to any degree that will be wonderful but we must recognise that his signing is an expensive risk.
We possibly could sign David Brooks from Bournemouth for the same cost as the JR deal and he could play for the best part of the next decade and increase in value over the years as well.

For me, the JR signing certainly increases our profile, it is a risky signing, but there is no point in appointing a manager like CA and then not supporting him.

Given a choice of World Class James or David Brooks of Bournemouth, not sure many would take the latter mate and I doubt the latter would have the same impact. Possibly the craziest thing I have read today lol
