Has been pulled out of the Newcastle tour to Spain because of interest from Everton ( apparently )

Not seen much of him but the skunks eem to rate him highly.

Can't see this being more than a fall back option at best. He's 30 years old, primarily a defender, though can operate in central midfield : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdoulaye_Diagne-Faye

if he is the ex-bolton player then he would not be a bad signing.

If we do get him.. I pray that it's only for backup purposes. If he gets a first-11 slot when we have a full squad we're taking a huge step backwards.

Asked my mate who supports Newcastle about Faye and he said this:

"Abdoulay Faye, yeah he’s not bad he’s more of a defensive midfielder than a defender…….good hustler of the ball to be honest, a bit like a poor man’s Makelele lol!

Should be a good signing though".

So probs ok as a backup but not much more then that i'd say judging my his comments.
