2017/18 Aaron Lennon

Lennon's a good footballer, not great, but good and it's great to see him playing after what he's been through.

But ... I'm immensely proud of our club for the way he's been treated like any other person that's been ill, given time to get well, looked after and then treated normally. It's be easy to be cynical and say stuff like "Well, it makes sense to help him so we get a decent fee for him", but, in reality, if he left tomorrow on a free or we got five million for him, it would make very little difference to us as a club financially, so park your cynicism and give a small thumbs up to the people in charge for doing the right thing.

Having said all that, apart from one good run with a pullback, I don't actually remember him doing an awful lot !

Welcome back Aaron - delighted to see you back in the jersey. Koeman is putting together a very impressive squad to allow for rotation through what could be approaching 60 first class matches this season.

Should be plenty of chances for you to get back to top form this season.

I hope we don't let him leave this window, he's still got a real part to play in this squad this season for me.

Lookman looks very raw and Aaron is the finished article, he brings pace and directness to our play, and I'll be gutted if he goes next week, as I think there'll be plenty of games when he'd prove to be a great option

For what we wuld get for him I think it makes sense to kee him. Can do the disciplined stuff as well as the talented stuff, and he has pace. Until we can replace him with better known quantity players I'm all for keeping as many of our wide players as possible.

He's honestly at his best when he puts in a shift defensively. He can play both sides of the ball, but last year he wasn't really having success. He will hopefully push Kev and Ade this year.

This. Options are always good and Azza has something that we're often accused of lacking - pace. His defensive and-off-the ball work rate is amazing too.

I thought he made some excellent runs early on in his shift and put in a great cross for Rooney. He didn't have much of a role to play most of the second half because we were passing the ball around the back for the majority of the time.
