Aaron Lennon ( On Loan January 2015 )

How much would you pay for Lennon in the Summer

  • Up to the rumoured 6 or 7 million - worth every penny

  • No more than 5 million - he's OK, but not worth any more

  • No more than 3 million - he's got no end product ffs

  • Wouldn't take him on a free, he's badly gash

  • Stop asking me questions and stick the grill on

We can do better than Lennon. Next summer on a free no problem, but even though the 9 million won't happen, the fee is still likely to be in the 6 million bracket in all probability.

I think that money can be better spent. I accept plenty disagree and see something in Lennon that I don't, no problem with that it's all about opinions.

But say we have a budget of around 15 million this summer, I'd be disappointed to see almost half of that going on Lennon.

....I think this is valid. Lennon was fine in the situation we were in as he played with real tempo and worked his socks off. I see him as a useful squad player but agree that to progress we need players who make a real difference in the top third of the pitch. It'll come down to priority and balance with the budget available.

I'd cry - we just signed to be part of the biggest tv deal in history.

On Lennon, not good enough. Played well first few games but now showing what we al knew - can't cross. Works hard which is great but, as a winger, he needs to cross to a man.

I hope Spurs stick to there guns and price him out the market. Then in the winter window we get him for £3 million and can shift McGeady on for same amount and we get a like for like player but a year younger with no financial loss.

This was always going to happen.

Thats the trouble with taking an out of favour player on loan. If they do well then the price goes up.

However, being in the last year of his contract and 204 days away from his dreaded 29th birthday, Spurs can't ask for too much.
This is Daniel Levy we're talking about here.

Me too, and I fear I may even have been a tad generous with that 15 million figure!

I know we smashed our transfer record last summer, but the Lukaku money was mostly used from player sales that Martinez decided to hoard instead of spending in the winter window.

Without player sales this time, I honestly can't see us having a big net spend.

Hopefully I'm wrong, we'll see.

Not as good as we first thought.

That ball on 74 minutes should have gone to one of our players yet he still managed to give it to one of them.

6mil - no chance
