I was agravated early on with the amount of fouls/physical play he was allowing; as the calls were mostly to the benefit of the reds.
As the match wore on I realized he was just setting the tone for how he intended to call the match. Well done, and excellent officiating. I barely noticed he was there.
Excellent ref. As above, you know you've had a good ref when you barely notice he's on the pitch. Spectators come to a football stadium to watch 22 players playing togger, it's not about the referee.
..the game was competitive but played in the right spirit, there wasn’t any major contentious decisions which made it easier to referee. Saying that, the Ref did fine and appeared to have the manner needed to run such a match.
