07-08

5th - 65 points. Semi final of league cup, round of 16 in uefa, first round in fa cup.

aaaaah...i meant to include the 07/08, not 08/09...i somehow remembered wrongly that the Fiorentina game was in Spring of 2009, when it was actually the year before.

It's depressing realising thats the accomplishments of the best teams we've produced in 20 years, 4th and 5th places and a few semi finals.

apart from the semi run, a best of 3rd round in the league cup. i know it's a gash competition, but nobody apart from liverpool even try, we lose to teams like arsenal reserves. quincy ouousu ebeye ffs

13/14 will be the best team since 86/87 regardless if Moyes leaves or not.

If we build on this team that we've got we'll be some team in the next few years, just don't sell loads. We're only a few quality players away from Champions League.

I think you're right, but it's depressing how often we've said that over the seasons. "Just one or two quality players away from Top 4"...

It's either because we've sold a key player or we haven't bought the players we intended too. Being realistic here if we manage to pull off the signings of Leroy Fer and Negredo we will a way bigger chance of Champions League next season than we've had this season.

Soft spot for the 95/96 team, just come off winning the FA Cup, plus childhood heroes in Kancheskis, Ferguson, Hincliffe and a cult figure in Amokachi who ended up being worse than Anichebe.

08/09 from that list but would have gone for the year before, pretty much the same team though.

I really like this team, some of football we have played (especially at the start of the season) has been the best I've seen from us.
