6 + 2 Point Deductions

Right, so its a self-fulfilling prophecy. We have now had 12.4 million taken away from next year, so if we overspend by less than 12.4 million its purely a result of the fine. Thats what makes it all a joke. Actual income is completely unknown until a season ends because its based on table position.

Teams budget based upon where they expect to finish. Our mistake was budgeting for top half and finishing nearnthe bottom, twice. If we have budgeted for any higher than 17th after the last 2 seasons, then more fool us.

However, given we have outperformed that expectation in real terms, being punished fir soing so is completely counter productive to their aims. Our appeal should have been based around, we'll swallow the points deductions but we expect to be paid to the value of our real terms position. It would be difficult for the PL to argue against that from a PSR viewpoint.

Andre Gomes and Dele Alli are out of contract this summer... saving us at least £200k per week (>£10m per year).

I wonder how much of a positive impact this saving would have on our cashflow/FFP once the contracts have expired? Coupled with the money we'll get when we inevitably sell Onana (I don't think his wages are too high in the grand scheme of things) we might actually have a few quid lying around.
