Probably cos we admitted the charges. That's always been the case I think. We can't argue the finances on appeal. We appeal the punishment.

The problem is that there are far too many clubs (or club owners) that are just happy to toe the line and stay in the league to pick up the financial rewards. If the fans of clubs such as Brighton et al are happy with that then the owners get away with it.
Could fans sue the Premier League in some sort of class action?
We're paying customers after all and they've already set a precedent with "don't punish the fans" being used as an argument against docking points from the scabs.
Highly suspect the answer to my question is no, but thought I'd put it out there anyway.
John, we ARE 1/20TH of the Premier League. It's made up of the clubs who compete in it.
Haha, true. Didn't Big Nev sue his daughter ?Fair point, I don't see how that would affect it though. You could probably sue your own mother if there were grounds for it.
I suspect there isn't grounds for the fans to sue the PL board of directors, but as I said, just thought I'd throw it out there anyway. I'd be happy with a settlement of half a twix if I thought it would apply pressure to them.
We can argue both. The appeal can change the factual (financial) findings of the first commission, or they could uphold the facts but still alter the punishment. Because there’s no sanctions framework they, like the first commission, can issue any punishment they like. That's always been the case I think. We can't argue the finances on appeal. We appeal the punishment.
Do you live under a rock or something?Could someone explain this cartel to me?
It gets mentioned a hell of a lot. I think it is Sky, the Top 6 and the Premier league.
If it is a cartel though why are TNT and Amazon allowed to show games?
Why does the top 6 continually change?
And above all if the top 6 and Sky are in cahoots then why did Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Spurs and United want to join a European Super League that Sky wouldn't be showing?
@gwladysnight think I’ve found your Twitter account mate.
Uh oh. Game’s nearly up for you Baileyjon.

In fact, following up on this, it's clear from our statement the other day we ARE going to argue the finances, not just the punishment"That's always been the case I think. We can't argue the finances on appeal. We appeal the punishment.
