6 + 2 Point Deductions

They never left, mate. I'm beginning to have my doubts about a couple who always seem to like gwladysnight's posts.
I have the utmost respect for the people brave enough to like my posts. That is because despite the mod's best efforts there is a very aggressive mob mentality on here.

Personally, I look at what someone has said and judge it on its merits. On here there are far too many people who start with a bias regarding how they perceive someone and then completely disregard what they say. Everything must be because of an agenda and an ulterior motive.

How do you people survive in the real world?

If you ask someone the time do you then disregard it if it wasn't the answer you were looking for?

If you ask for directions is your first thought he might be a Liverpool fan so I will ignore what he says.

what are the new rules coming in next year anyway?

Given their name, it is no surprise that the key objective of the new regulations is to achieve financial sustainability. These will be achieved through three key pillars: solvency, stability, and cost control.

For solvency, the new no overdue payables (towards football clubs, employees, social/tax authorities, and UEFA) rule will ensure better protection of creditors. Controls will be performed every quarter and there will be less tolerance towards late payers.

The new football earnings requirements are an evolution of the existing break-even requirements and will bring greater ability to club finances. To ease the implementation for clubs, the calculation of football earnings is similar to the calculation of the break-even result. While the acceptable deviation has increased from €30m over three years to €60m over three years, requirements to ensure the fair value of transactions, to improve the clubs’ balance sheet, and to reduce debts have been significantly strengthened.

The biggest innovation in the new regulations will be the introduction of a squad cost rule to bring better cost control in relation to player wages and transfer costs. The regulation limits spending on wages, transfers, and agent fees to 70 per cent of club revenue. Assessments will be performed on a timely basis and breaches will result in pre-defined financial penalties and sporting measures. The new regulations will come into force in June 2022. There will be gradual implementation over three years to allow clubs the necessary time to adapt.

If that person is you, yes.

"Dogs abuse" (sic)... How appropriate.

Are there any rough numbers on where we currently stand with wages / turnover ratio, Goat? I know we've been shocking for it in the Moshiri years but top of my head I think a lot of the non-cartel clubs will struggle with that.

There is nothing definite. The expectation is that the Premier League will look to mirror the way UEFA has changed FFP. The main thing is that UEFA is moving away from losses and moving to a new system based on banning overdue payables, then comparing a club's income to its squad cost.

It makes sense for the Premier League to have similar rules to UEFA.

However, what will happen is that the Premier League board and the clubs will come up with a proposal and then the clubs will vote on it. What complicates things is it is likely to coincide with an Independent regulator being appointed. That could well push back any changes in PSR.

Its an old list, but this gives a "slight" idea, but again, its not recent and we have no idea what Evertons is until they publish the accounts.

Its certainly not that high any longer.

They started proceedings against City in 2018, years before an Independent regulator was even dreamt of.

They are punishing Everton because we have admitted breaching PSR. The same with Forest.

The clubs who have heeded the rules around PSR haven't been charged.
Again, because you ignored the clarification last time, Everton have NOT admitted to breaching PSR, they have admitted to spending the money but dispute that the calculations are the same.

They did mate.

Right here.

At the pre-trial review on 4 October 2023 both parties were given permissionto amend their pleaded cases. In its Amended Answer Everton admitted ithad abandoned its claim to be entitled to many of the additional exclusionsthat it had advanced in its PSR calculation, and accepted that it had exceededthe PSR threshold
