6 + 2 Point Deductions

I’d be astonished (and delighted obviously) if theres any reduction at all tbh
I think we have a mounting legal case to get it written off completely. Seems like a complete shambles from the premier league and if anything comes out suggesting they interfered with or influenced a supposed independent investigation with the hope of avoiding government regulation, they may just have signed their own death warrant.

At the very least, I expect Masters will have to go. At least Scudamore was able to keep the scab 6 in check.

Need to stick with the protest, yesterday was nothing but a start. We need to go another 20 odd times.

PL and Sky colluding to minimise, we need to learn the lessons of yesterday and counter.

We're on again next Saturday night.
I’d be happy to continue protesting against the cartel til the day I die now, even if they back down and give us all the points back, I’m done with them.

That crappy anthem & handshake will forever be booed by me, the PL cartels mask has truly slipped with us.

It said there was no quantifiable sporting advantage but it must be inferred that there was a sporting advantage.. in it's simplest terms that means we cant say there was a sporting advantage but we assume there was one.

Paragraph 95:

"We also recognise that the inference of a sporting advantage is one that should properly be drawn from the fact of a PSR breach, and that sporting advantage will have been enjoyed for each of the seasons on which the PSR calculation was based – in this case, because of Covid, four seasons."

Masters is a dead man walking!

Gone by Christmas hopefully.

Feeling a little bit more confident after reading Andy B's letter to the PL! Highlighting so many issues with the commission's report.

Carry on please Andy, think (hope) you might have them on the run!!!

He should be Labour's next Prime Minister, just hope this does not rebound on him in the future, his enemies could well say conflict of interest, vested interest, he is after all an Everton fan. Must admit quite proud of the lengths he has gone to.

Assuming and inferring are different things. This post is at odds with your original post though, that's for sure.

It also said " No quantifiable sporting advantage" so which one should we believe, it certainly isn't clear is it.

I think the issue I have with all of this is that they didn't properly bring in the penalties at the same time as the rules. The Premier League's justification for requesting a 10 point penalty theoretically makes sense (6 points for the breach plus 1 point for each subsequent 5 million), however this should have been introduced at the same time as the rules, and voted on at the time by the 20 clubs. I don't disagree that we should be punished, after all a number of teams have been relegated as they felt they had to sell their best players to come within the cap. However, I feel the Premier League now is where the Football League was many years ago, when clubs were fined, and they then brought in clear governance which has since been followed on a number of occasions.

I think the fact we worked with the Premier League and then still breached the cap has made things worse, and this, coupled with the threat of an independent regulator, is why the punishment is so severe.
