Someone with Audit firm knowledge, is it normal for a company of our size to change auditors 3 times in a timespan of 4 years?

This is from the Guardian from October 2022.

“In line with company best practice we do follow audit rotation. However BDO remain our auditors and have not resigned.”

BDO declined to confirm it would be auditing Everton’s latest accounts, which cover the year to the end of June 2022. However, two confidential sources with inside knowledge of events have told the Guardian that BDO has informally withdrawn from the audit and is not conducting work on the accounts, although Everton have not filed notification of this at Companies House.



The accounts for that financial year 21/22 ended up being audited by Crowe. Which seems to contradict the club's statement and backs up what the Guardian had been told.

I was quite rightly banned because I lost my rag and gave some back to the posters who were stalking me and sending abusive PM's.

I wasn't going to return and only did so because of the absolute rubbish that social media content creators are peddling. What the fan base desperately needs is some fact-checking and above all is more people to actually read the IC report.

I know my posts can be annoying and repetitive and I apologise to the mods. However, I think it needs doing because falsehoods are being repeated ad infinitum.

It is up to the mods. If they want me to stop posting I will.

I think you need to learn a bit about impact versus intent and generally read the room…

They started proceedings against City in 2018, years before an Independent regulator was even dreamt of.

They are punishing Everton because we have admitted breaching PSR. The same with Forest.

The clubs who have heeded the rules around PSR haven't been charged.
