Can't even be arsed reading the article. I remember when they built the Park Stand they were proposing an extra tier.

Just build a 60k capacity stadium to start with, i thought money wasn't anything we had to worry about post-Mosh?

Don’t know why people are moaning. The capacity can eventually be increased to over 60k.
When it’s built it will be an increase of about 13k seats from what we have now without any restricted views.

We have waited years for a new stadium with many false dawns. Let’s just get this thing built.

If it was hard locked to 52k I would be very disappointed but the fact that it could rise to 62k is fine.

I sense that the 52k means it’s easier and cheaper to build with a expand when required attitude.

Definitely too low. I was never a fan of 60k+ tbh but it should be around 55k.

So basically our new ground will be smaller than Newcastles...

Why not just build it now instead of messing about in the future? Just small time that capacity when you want to build something special on the docks.

They made it very clear there may never be any plans for expansion.

It makes little sense to me to go through the hassle of potential redevelopment. If they wanted 62k they'd do it now. I'd suspect that won't happen now.
