yours was the curly wedge though (on the pic you put up) more tears for fears that mate, bet you used to comb it all over to 1 side and put your birds drop ear-ring in to go all phil oakey:lol:

That was the later version . The one you saw was 1985 - couple of weeks , post - Rotterdam - .I'm talkin' 1979/80 vintage .
I'll find me Seaman's Book after . IT IS A CLASSIC , if I say so meself - sorry , BB - .

Mate , never had an ear-ring in me life .
Me Arl fela told me ; " ..Ear Rings / Tattoo's / Dyed Hair ; No-No's . Uny shobgites , ... Not in OUR house . " Fair enough , Big D .
I've never done any of them - except for an EFC I did meself , aged 14 - .

Check this , kid .
Sorry about the quality .
Also check the Everton Calendar 1980/81 on the wall - of the Mess Room on a German Ship - Used to get many , many questions , ...

Talking of which ..

to the kids of today mate, we are like those teddy boys we used to see going down Goodison Road with their crepe shoes on and drainies, and no matter how we try to put it to them and explain, we're just sad 'arl gets.

I'm feelin' you , my brother .
Example ; 18 months ago when I bought them Kickers , our kids ROARED off me .
This year they asked me where I got them . Ditto Lyle and Scott jumpers , 2 years earlier .
But yeah , can't let go , cock' . Sad as a mufuka , btw .

I bought a Dallas top a couple of years ago, it was a touch tight so I asked a nephew who's about 14 if he wanted it ?
he looked at me like I was a right meff, then the sis-in-laws fella who's about 25 said "they were never popular though" ffs, they were the 1 that were ripped by everybody, they were that unpopular, it was from that jacket that 'enesse' appeared on the market stalls ffs, and this lad thought he knew what he was on about.
I've not got the kecks though, although they were also a classic in their time, I've never put a pound on but a 42 y.o. in a pair of dallas bottoms may be going a bit far, they did have some in J.D. that were reduced to about £15 in my size and I was gonna get 'em but when I went in there were none left, and i ended up buying another dallas jacket that was bigger in the same sale.
can't bring myself to pay the £60 + for the trabbs though, I wait for them to get to the right price or go on ebay. plus the reissues have [Poor language removed] soles i.e. adidas marathon, they had a sole that was everlasting and the new ones are like that foam that pram wheels are made from.

Can only remember 2 really.

Used to have long medium curled hair going to the back of my neck, paired with a moustache.

Nowadays it's short shaven, once every two weeks. And no moustache.

.

I never doubted that you'd had that look for a second, pure continental euro that mate. you guys favoured the patchwork tracksuits/shells, involving colours that just didn't go together.
all the best gear had been robbed on euro away trips so thats all that was left, it was europes answer to thieving away fans, stock stuff they wouldn't dream of wearing.

now you're pure gabba !!

forrrrrrrtuna !! oooligans !!

Mate , same with this - and same response from the youngsters - . I've told 'em , when I'm gone , they'll say ,
" He was a dude . End of . "
For now though , they just roar off me .

Superb stuff Reidy, bringing back memories here. Long hair combined with an Australian (aussie) training gear. The Dutch footy style of the late 80's and the nineties. Nowadays it's only the Hague still supporting that style, as (mostly) the southern part of Holland have moved on to the English style. Although not a hooligan myself, I love all the casual clothing like SI, Burberry and Lacoste.

the Australian gear by L'Alpina, was a lot more exclusive over here than the lacoste and fila, I've recently bought a couple of polo shirts from a bird in the phillipines , she had inherited her grandfathers shop and they were upstairs unsold, you can tell by the cardboard tags that they are from way back, I believe they ended up making them in holland and being owned by a dutch company due to the popularity over there.

To the untrained eye (young blerts and toerags) they appear to be Kangol, but those that know, know.
some of their trackies were very smart but then some were just gaudy as feck....

the polo shirts go for quite a bit on ebay
