Thanks God there was a Bigger story doing the rounds today (Southampton Chairman doint the media rounds on SKY and talkSPORT) otherwise SSN may have gone big on this major announcement and we have taken some stick for this, as it was we have just about got away with this gaff.

I bet you wont find one fan of any club that doesnt think this is great news for us, I'll guarentee you wont find an Evertonian that doesn't think this is fantastic news, the way it has been presented is where the fume came from, if it had been outside of a transfer window or during a window where We were happy with our amount of business then the fume would not be there.

X-Files stuff here but its possible that the Ross Barkley contract announcement was a fall back and that it was hopped that there would be news on Lukaku. No news on the Lukaku negotiations and so announce Ross's new deal.

Considering everyone not associated with Everton thinks Barkley is just dying to move somewhere else it's just a matter of where, I'd say this qualifies as big news. The kid is a blue. He may not be here his entire career, but I fully expect him here for AT LEAST 3 more years if not more. As long as Bobby is our manager, I don't see him going anywhere. If Bobby leaves, well, then it may be a different story.
