not really a sensible thread if you really look at it. He's said 2012 as a whole, yet really only looked at the past 3 months or so.
1. Heitinga proved turn of the year until may that he was unreal at centre back, winning player of the year in the process. So over the whole of 2012 he's had half good half not so good.
2. Naismith Neville and Hitzleberger in midfield are hardly bad, put in there Anichebe as well and it's not a bad squad at all.
3. Jelavic hasn't ever been playing poorly, take today for example, he was absolute class with vic alongside him or on the left, just mightily unlucky.
And as for not many goalscoreres, Jalavic, Fellaini, Mirallas, Naismith, Osman, Pienaar all come in with a fair few not to mention Baines' contribution.
I feel that this thread is a knee jerk reaction off the back of one not so great result in a game we dominated. If you really want three things that we've learnt from the past few months, which this thread is really aimed at as opposed to the whole year, i'd say that; 1. we can't hold out a lead, 2. we need to learn that keeping clean sheets is just as important as playing expansive attacking football, and 3. that if we carry on the way we have been we're more than capable of finishing top 4.
1. we're better with coleman at RB
2. Heitinga has turned gash
3. We need a new new no.1 keeper sharpish
Agree with all that but Heitinga was like this before as well....goes through seasonal patches it seems.
Coleman is turning great
1. Not only is Moyes's eye for a bargain as good as ever, he can produce a team that plays great attacking football.
2. Anichebe knows where the goal is.
3. Fellaini is frigging awesome, but you know what, we can still thrive without him.
