short term. Mirallas gets singled out a lot more by defenders and five matches into the season gets himself sent off retaliating.
medium. After a slow start for him and the crowd on his back Kone starts to look useful and we think we are going to miss him when he goes to the African Nations, but it means Velios gets a chance. Velios finds the desire to add to his game and we are unbeaten for ten games with him bagging seven.
long term. While looking at the implications of a super European league a massive cross Europe match fixing scandal is revealed. Amid fears that European competition is turning the game into professional wrestling, a real change in how the game is financed is introduced, including all income from global marketing to be used to finance the game at all youth levels. 2 years later Everton are champions.

short term - we'll win away at the rs
medium term - we'll continue around the top 8
long term - sorry, but I don't think Barklay will make a Premiership player (but hope I'm wrong).

It really makes me wonder what some are looking at when making comments like that (Barkley)

There's absolutely no question whether he'll make a PL player! The question is how good he can become.
