The shortlisting is a panel of which the head of governance is just one person and after that there is a completely independent election that the club has no say in.

So yes, the people who end up on the fab are independent from the club. You are either looking for an issue or are misreading it

Anyone who tried to sort out the walk out deserved the abuse for simply thinking it was some sort of movement, it was disgraceful and mostly embarrassing to the fan base to even think that would work on live TV. I go the match with a large number who don't go on Twitter etc never mind here who thought the idea was horrendous.

"Once he builds us this world class stadium and leaves we will celebrate", I think it would be better if you just crawl off and start a separate club like United did and stop causing toxic division between the internet fan base.

I deserved the abuse, just for wanting my directors and club to be better and do better?! Sound.

The 27 walkout fans deserved vitriol and abuse for wanting to use the sly tv cameras to demonstrate to the world our disdain and dissatisfaction with an inept board of directors, who have consistently driven the club downwards and tried to limit our hopes & expectations, whilst paying themselves disgustingly high salaries!?! Nice one.

Maybe I will crawl off and start a separate team, if supporters like you are what I’m leaving behind.

The whole point of doing it whilst the match was on was to have it air while the cameras were running, if we all would have got behind it the message couldn’t have been clearer.

At the same time, I didn’t give stick to any fan who wanted nothing to do with the walk out, nor would I ever abuse them - you pays your money, you takes your choice. It would have been nice if the same courtesy was afforded to those of us who did want to do something.

Instead we got blue bills face getting great cheers and the silent majority of zombified supporters, who don’t normally open their traps at the match actually waking up and getting behind the team for a change, and then throwing barbed comments and abuse at us.

The club held a role in the selection process of who can be put up to be voted for.

Its not independent though, the club have a say in who can be appointed.

Exactly, it's the same as when they announced elections in the UAE with great fanfare.

Every candidate nominated by the president and prime minister (both positions attained by birthright.

"See? We have a democratic process in place!"

I do wonder how much background digging the club did before coming up with the shortlist for the FAB, and what criteria they had that would cause them to screw there noses up and lose somebodies application as a candidate.

Personally, I don't think the walk out was a big enough statement.

Televised game? Delay the KO with tennis balls/big roll on the pitch. The comms team at sky/bt would obviously be curious to know what's going on.

Manchester UTD fans magend to postpone arguably the biggest game in world club football a couple of hours before KO. What happened? Maybe a fine (certainly not a points deduction) but a tonne of coverage.

As I have said, I'm not part of the 27 campaign but I fully support their aims. I wish they'd go much further with the methods of protest and cause utter chaos on matchday. It doesn't stop a vociferous support of the team when the match is underway.

If they don't want to disrupt the match stay behind after the match (for a televised game) and sing long and loud in full view of the glass pundit studio. Sing over the pitchside interviews.

Showing up at Goodison on non match days is commendable but I have doubts as to what it actually achieved. (especially when the piece was hijacked by the FAB on sky anyway) Same goes for protests outside of the Liver building when all EFC staff have already gone home. It's just weird.

Everton should be competing for trophies every season. The decline since the 80s has been alarming and William Kenwright has been an ever present on the board. A cardboard cutout would have done the same.

I don't know Paul or Esk personally, but, I've been around this forum for a while now and I remember him being a very good poster who, occasionally got some very good itk stuff. Unfortunately for him, he went all out on the prospective signing of Alex Witsell, 'Witsell is ours' . He was either given bad information deliberately by somebody at the club, or, as often happens in these cases, things changed at the last minute, either way, it left him looking stupid.

That being said, he is putting his head over the parapet again and calling out our abject board of directors. For my money, I don't care whether he signs his full name and provides an apostille copy of his passport, or whether he continues to preserve a certain amount of his privacy, he is at least trying to bring people to account and fair play to him. This current chairman and his cronies and our current owner have made me fall out of love with Everton, they will never stop me being an Evertonian though. So bad cess to the board and fair play to the 27 years crowd.

Never heard the park end that vitriolic ever , when bills power gets challenged people find there voices , remarkable really , i applauded everyone who walked out , when is enough enough, a whole generation has seen Everton not win 1 trophy due to gross incompetence at board level

If i remember correctly a walkout was arranged over that at a game and they got abuse from fans at the time.

Rooney got made out to be the villain in this piece. Some people even today think Rooney and Arteta pushed for them transfers.
