No mention of Tosun, Soggy nor Delphino

The players who have gone: Kenny, Tosun, Delph, and Allegedylfi are expected departures. The test of the decision-makers at the club comes now in who they choose to sell. The early signs are poor in that, it appears, Kenny was offered a deal. He shouldn't have been. No matter how cheap the deal was - and it was clearly too cheap even for Kenny - he just isn't of the required standard. Lampard sill has big decisions to make on our sellable assets - Pickford, Richarlison, and DCL - and then the really telling stuff on our less sellable assets liabilities: Mina, Holgate, Godfrey, Davies, Iwobi, Gomes - and let's be honest, Gray and Townsend too. And then there is Coleman, who really should only be back-up now or good for the last 20 minutes.

I'm all for signing Tarkowski. He's a better, more reliable defender than what we currently have. But the reconstructive surgery is only starting now. We are a Frankenstein's monster of a squad. Frank will do very well to turn that into Prince Charming. Unless the lovely James returns. Rodriguez - not the Burnley grock.

This is a good start. Offering Kenny a new deal was short sighted, good for the club that he rejected it and honestly good for the lad too, he'll end his career having earned millions regardless, might as well go play football while he still can. As for his spot in the squad he's the third choice right back and left back, Patterson would get all the minutes at right back that he possibly could've gotten and I think Nkonkou is more than good enough to be a backup left back in the coming year, seemed bright before he went on loan. If he's not ready then there's surely some youngster that'd be able to deputise for Myko who shouldn't be missing too many games to begin with.

So now that he's no longer employed by the club, can we speak about #10 yet? Or is that still verboten because it's still an open case almost a full fn year later for some reason?

I loved this post... Allegedylfi - brilliant.

But then we get to the liabilities list and that wet blanket Keane is omitted.

Dreadful post. lol
