Not really
This is partially because photo IDs aren’t as common as many people assume: 18% of all citizens over the age of 65, 16% of Latino voters, 25% of Black voters, and 15% of low-income Americans lack acceptable photo ID. Elderly and low-income voters may not have the availability, financial resources, or mobility to obtain the necessary identification, and rural voters may face significant barriers to obtaining the necessary documentation due to their geographic isolation. Further, many rural and Native Americans born at home or on reservations and tribal lands lack the mandated paperwork needed to obtain a government-issued ID that fits the legal requirements to vote.
If, or if ever, the change was mandated, it surely wouldn’t be an issue for a country such as America to be able to provide most of these people with a free, acceptable ID. I think the US and Australia are the only two countries I know of that don’t require it.

You'd have to properly regulate the delegations. And you have a polling station within 3 miles. It's not like that's a problem in other democracies either.
Why go to all the trouble of regulations for a delegation - why not just have vote by mail? Oregon have had entirely vote by mail for decades.

A polling station within 3 miles would be difficult in many rural areas and impossible in a state like Alaska.

People also don't understand, in addition to the points made above, I sign upon entering. No, I don't show my ID. But I sign next to my name, and my signature is on file. Right there.
Seen some votes today have been rejected due to signatures. I take it some agency is used to reference the signature on your ballot against your official (or registered) signature? Otherwise anyone could just scribble next to your name, no?

They'd need to know they are scribbling for someone who was registered at that polling place and not voting. And it's illegal.
