Piqued my interest yesterday, some rather unsavory types in Finland back in the day. IKL, SKSL, SKJ. It is far from comforting to know enoch powell types exist/ed amongst our european neighbours and would appeal to the hateful racist types.

Slightly off topic, but I found that before Musk took over Twitter was becoming even more unbearable than it was before (ads, echo chambers etc).

When he took over and made the checkmark nothing more than a subscription, it descended into the largest echo chamber known to man. I deleted my account, I did create another one where I don't really follow anyone, I only use it so that I can click on links that are posted from outside Twitter.

Maybe I'm old and grumpy, but the place is a cesspool of nothingness and misinformation, where you're rewarded (even monetarily) for being more popular than correct or interesting.

I think I’ve said this before but if you curate who you follow it can still be a useful app. As you say for up to the minute information or people that you trust are posting in good faith.

Just don’t go near the replies or the “For You” tab as they are both a horrendous mess.

I’d rather not use it but unfortunately it is still the best option for the good things it does. The good things it does are diminishing though so can see myself tinning it off soon.

I didn't even know about that. When he started actively cheering on the overturning of democracy in a country where many good fellow Everton fans lived, I was done with him. Been on my ignore list since then, and I only look at his posts when I need to need to put together a post laughing at him like the one above

It was a pretty much even me thinks. Harris has done more damage to her own campaign her self than Trump. Mainly because she's not very likeable person and has awful delivery in interviews. Basically she's perfect example of a DEI hire. She was blown out of the race in primaries for example...info for those who think she's innit because of her own merit.
